Originally from New York with latin roots hailing from his parent’s home country of the Dominican Republic, Rafael’s art is as eclectic as his background. Ranging from children’s books, acrylic paintings, and photography, Rafael lives his life as he portrays it visually through his art…full of passion.

“When I first created Herman, I never knew I would embark on this wonderful journey where I can teach my sons and anyone who comes across Herman, the lessons and beauty of the world I have gotten to experience. Leaving a legacy of hope and boundless optimism through art and creativity and a well rounded point of view on life is what I hope to accomplish with Herman and his friends from my house to yours. I hope you get inspired and connect with your kids as I have with mine and begin to look at the world through their eyes, because that view is full of a hope we as adults seem to give up and forget  about in order to be grown-ups….Now is the time to get it back!”
